Arch install --- newly formatted drive vs VM virtual box install

Please,
i'm new at this .    Don't throw too big of a rock at first  :0)

Installing arch onto a newly formatted clean drive   vs   installing arch onto a preloaded Oracle VM virtualbox manager .

Please help me with the pro's and con's of installing arch one way vs the other .    Are there great losses in performance
when installing through an Oracle VM virtualbox   ?

Thank you for your time and comments .     Very much appreciated in learning about the differences.

Re: Arch install --- newly formatted drive vs VM virtual box install

If you have a clean disk, I would do that.
VirtualBox is not all that great on performance.  If you are using a Linux host, I would recommend qemu instead.
