[SOLVED] Steam won't play games after new installation

Hi guys!

I used to run steam on arch some months ago and recently decided to reinstall them due to a partition issue.

I use nvidia-xrun which is set correctly and can launch games installed locally. However games with steam just won't launch.

I click play it says preparing to launch game and after one second nothing happens. I don't know why this happens since i have no indication of the error.

SOme games just show syncing , then running and then nothing again .

Does anyone have any idea regarding this issue? I have remove steam via pacman -Rsn and also delete both the home folder of steam and also the folder where the games are installed (on my additional internal disk - ntfs)

Any ideas?

Re: [SOLVED] Steam won't play games after new installation

I think it maybe fixed. I have the games installed on an internal ntfs drive. I have installed a game on my .local folder and it worked. SO it has something to do with the installation directory , although in the past it used to work hmm
