XFCE power saving is ignored

Hello,

My laptop keeps automatically locking despite me telling Xfce Power Manager to never do that. All the options in the System and Display tabs are set to Never. Any suggestions?

? how are you starting XFCE?

Instead of directly calling startxfce4 you should opt to add it to a properly configured xinitrc (note the second blue box) and run startx. That way you guarantee to have a proper session set up.
