COMRESET failed (errno=-32)

When I use the live boot usb to try and install linux on my laptop I get the error

ata: COMRESET failed (errno=-32)

I have no idea how to fix this as at this point I haven't even reached a console when just trying to install Arch.

Check your SATA port, cable and connection. COMRESET is SATA protocols for link initialization and recovery. The problem could be the motherboard or the HDD itself.
