[SOLVED] Cannot reach login screen after upgrade systemd to 243.0-1

I have upgraded the systemd from 242.84-2 to 243.0-1 in my Lenovo E475 AMD, after that I cannot reach the SDDM login screen for KDE Plasma 5.16.5. But looks like the Xorg is working fine.
If I move to the tty2, and then login I can start KDE Plasma using startx /usr/bin/startkde.

Kernel: 5.2.13.arch1-1. I have been always with the flag amdgpu.dc=0

With systemd 243.0-1 I get the following log:

I have trying disabling the NetworkManager.service but looks like is not related to waiting that service to start.

With a downgrade to the previous systemd version everything is back to normal.

Re: [SOLVED] Cannot reach login screen after upgrade systemd to 243.0-1

Adding amdgpu module in mkinitcpio worked for me
AMDGPU

AMDGPU

I have tried the amdgpu-pro one time, a year ago and didn't work for me, the video didn't work.

The wiki says Tip: dmesg may indicate the correct kernel parameter to use: but I can't find nothing about the amdgpu on the journalctl --dmesg

Maybe this output can help:

Please post the full journal for an affected boot and the contents of pacman.log from the update including systemd 243 onward.

The service looks good:

Re: [SOLVED] Cannot reach login screen after upgrade systemd to 243.0-1

There is no need to use amdgpu-pro,

wiki wrote:

Make sure amdgpu has been set as first module in the Mkinitcpio#MODULES array, e.g. MODULES=(amdgpu radeon).

But, are this flags mandatory? I don't know which should I turn ON/OFF.

options amdgpu cik_support=0

Re: [SOLVED] Cannot reach login screen after upgrade systemd to 243.0-1

They are (to be sure you can just enable both), but more importantly, the radeon file has to be present as well, otherwise it will be active for radeon as well. However as this used to work it's unlikely to be the underlying issue here.

No your pacman.log is located at /var/log/pacman.log and should show which packages were updated in that same upgrade.

I just want to leave clear:
1. That the same update has worked well on another Lenovo Intel with no issues
2. In this Lenovo AMD, after the upgrade the video works perfectly, I just can't see the SDDM login screen when booting, but using startx on the tty2 opens KDE Plasma, then the desktop and network works without issues. And locking the screen works fine too. It's strange for me.

AMDGPU

I have tested this and this fixes the systemd upgrade!

thanks!

I have added the modules on the /etc/mkinitcpio.conf

MODULES=(amdgpu radeon)

And I have turned ON all the flags on:

/etc/modprobe.d/amdgpu.conf

options amdgpu si_support=1
options amdgpu cik_support=1

/etc/modprobe.d/radeon.conf

options radeon si_support=1
options radeon cik_support=1

I just getting this again:

kernel: Disabling IRQ #7

Maybe I can remove the amdgpu.dc=0

Re: [SOLVED] Cannot reach login screen after upgrade systemd to 243.0-1

No the radeon flags should remain off, you don't want to enable radeon handling if amdgpu is supposed to be used.

I have turned the radeon OFF and works. Thanks!

Do you know what should I do with this?

kernel: Disabling IRQ #7

The amdgpu.dc=0 removed shows the same error.
