Run Mplayer in unwindowed mode [SOLVED]

Hi , im looking for a solution to run mplayer in unwindowed mode, im using the command below to use it as a webcam viewer :

mplayer tv:// -tv driver=v4l2

But it opens the mplayer in a windowed mode , it opens it in a frame just like other GUI apps wich has close,minimize,maximize buttons

i just want to run the mplayer, not any xfwm stuff framing the mplayer

Thank you it did the trick
also i want to know if there is a command in general for this action in any software
like running app from terminal by disabling xfwm for that special app ?

You can start a complete X server for a single application and/or you will generally be able to configure most window managers for any program for this, not certain about the options for xfwm in particular, you might want to read its documentation.

My own curiosity killed the cat, seems like this is an explicit non-goal of xfwm, https://docs.xfce.org/xfce/xfwm4/introduction so you will likely need another WM if you want to be able to define this generally.

But this is out of scope for this particular thread, please mark this one as [SOLVED]
