[SOLVED] urxvt has no colors.

I just installed and configured my urxvt but there are no colors...I might be missing a package....which package should I install to enable color in urxvt ?

here is my .Xresources:

weird coz i didn't have this problem with Gentoo...

ok now I am getting some colors but not like on my Gentoo box..for instance, the user@host is not colored but folders are colored blue and executables are colored yellow....

Your PS1 is configured in your shell initialisation file. You can change the colours of files in .dir_colours

The proper answer is that different systems ship different defaults. Sometimes there are barely any modifications, sometimes devs/maintainers use it to personalize. Usually for common OS you can identify the system by just looking at the standard prompt.
I found a small gist that shows a selected few default configurations.

I think at some point most users either configure their own or start using some advanced ones created by others and they move some dot files to every system they use. There are many examples for useful or essential modifications like git tracking, return code visualization, package tracking (e.g. node). It is yours to modify to your needs!
