[SOLVED] phpMyAdmin says mysqli extension is missing even though it is

phpMyAdmin has worked in the past, but it stopped working claiming this reason despite me changing nothing. I double-checked and

extension=mysqli

is uncommented in php.ini, and it exists on the filesystem.

Write more about your config.
Which http server did you install? What php plugin? How do you setup it all (http server, php plugin, mariadb, phpMyAdmin)?

I figured it out. I had accidentally uncommented a line that should have stayed commented.

Yes, sure. The line was the one starting with "; E_ALL" around line 420. I had accidentally removed the ";".
