I am running Arch Linux (Cinnamon) with a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 TI video card. I have just started getting the following message:
"Check your video drivers. Your system is currently running without hardware acceleration. You may experience poor performance and high CPU usage."
This message comes up on boot.
I am using the LTS kernel with the LTS Nvidia software.
All of the posts I've read relate to correcting the problem with the operating system running inside a VM. Never having had this problem I am at a loss of how to proceed to correct the problem.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Trying to fix this resulted in me reinstalling the system with the linux drivers rather than LTS. While the issue is not solved, the problem is.
