How to setup a Desktop Enviroment for VNC that does not auto start

Ive always used Arch headless.

But today i wanted to setup a Desktop Environment for use with VNC.
I dont want anything to auto start, I want to manually start the DE if i need it.

What are the best packages for this?

I presume x11vnc, Is there anything else? will this work with any DE i setup like LXDE

Sorry if this is a stupid question, i have never bothered with DE's on my arch builds before.

Re: How to setup a Desktop Enviroment for VNC that does not auto start

I think the general recommendation is TigerVNC when going through the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/TigerVNC
Though I don't see why x11vnc wouldn't work either: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/X11vnc

There is just one caveat: Both solutions only work with x11. For wayland based solutions I only know gnome which includes a vnc server that can be enabled in your share config. But I suspect you don't want to use it anyway.
