Hello guys,
My laptop does not support keyboard back light but the system is trying to set up the brightness every minute, I can see clearly on system logs.
leds dell::kbd_backlight: Setting an LED's brightness failed (-8)
I want to turn it off completely from kernel level so that system never tries again.
Please suggest.
Thanks.

Have you tried setting the timeout to 0?
echo 0 > /sys/devices/platform/dell-laptop/leds/dell\:\:kbd_backlight/stop_timeout
The brightness to 0?
echo 0 > /sys/devices/platform/dell-laptop/leds/dell\:\:kbd_backlight/brightness

Nope, it didn't work.
Executing following commands:
cat /sys/devices/platform/dell-laptop/leds/dell\:\:kbd_backlight/stop_timeout
Yields:
No such device or address
Editing or echoing the file with the value "0"
/sys/devices/platform/dell-laptop/leds/dell\:\:kbd_backlight
will be reverted back again to "1" instantly.
