[SOLVED] KDE Plasma hangs at "Reached target Graphical Interface"

When my system starts up from being powered off, it gets as far as:

Reached target Graphical Interface

and it stops.

I can use CTRL-ALT-F2 to get to a command window, login, then:

$ systemctl restart sddm

and then the greeter comes up, and I can login and start kde.

Any ideas how to fix this so I can log in normally with the sddm greeter?

Thanks. Updating systemd didn't help; I was on the latest version, but adding i915 to the MODULES section of mkinitcpio.conf and rebuilding the image seems to have fixed the issue.
