Hello,
I'm trying to install Archlinux on this laptop: Zephyrus S GX502GW-XB76
Almost everything works out of the box but my headphone is not detected. Only speakers works, I tried with linux-lts and linux. If I list output available on pavucontrol I have only "Speakers". On Windows 10 I have no problem with audio.
By the way, I think it's a details, but on this laptop there are two jack; one for microphone and one for the headphone. The microphone seams to be detected.
If I look alsamixer, the name of the sound card is:
Card: HDA Intel PCH
Chip: Realtek ALC294

Output of alsa-info.sh ? this link claims that there might be relations to Windows holding grabs on the hardware. Ensure you've disabled fast-boot in Windows and do a proper shutdown after having done so. You might want to try a
sudo alsactl init
to force a reset of the soundcard registers.

Thank you for your answer.
I do everything same result ... only speakers available. I had an error with
sudo alsactl init

Thank you for your help.

No you should run and post the output of alsa-info.sh, it will contain some more outputs. FWIW if alsactl init (don't worry about the error that one is normal, the second message is what's relevant) didn't fix this then you might be able to fix the jack mapping with hdajackretask.
To properly start experimenting with hdajackretask stop pulse first
systemctl --user mask pulseaudio.socket
systemctl --user stop pulseaudio
hdajackretask

`hdajackretask` show me only internal Mic or internal Speaker. No headphone, so I override internal speaker by headphone, next dock headphone. No sound, it was in mute. I un-mute with alsamixer and still same behavior. Sound come out from speakers only.
