audacious ignored by media control widget in plasma

All of sudden after some update audacious no longer shown in media control widget in kde. Widget says "No media playing". Audacious has mpris2 pluging enabled, and can be controlled using playerctl command. Other players (mpv, vlc) are working fine. Any ideas?

Plasma checks whether the player properly implements the spec, before showing it in the applet audacious apparently doesn't/didn't do that until now, but according to https://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/900 it should be fixed in git, and thus the next audacious version.
