[solved] system does not boot with lts kernel

I Installed the lts kernel with the following commands:

pacman -S linux-lts linux-lts-headers nvidia-lts

and then issued the following command:

grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

It seems to work, but when I reboot the system and try to boot with the lts kernel I get a black screen with a blinking cursor.

What am I doing wrong?

Was /boot mounted when you installed linux-lts ?

In general, post journal logs. In this particular instance something you want to ensure that you actually installed the just updated nvidia-lts 435.21-2 as the previous package has not been kept in sync with the LTS kernel releases and thus lead to version conflicts. Update your system again if that wasn't yet the case.
