[SOLVED] Why is /usr/lib/modules/version-lts/vmlinuz a symlink?

I just noticed that on my system, /usr/lib/modules/4.19.75-1-lts/vmlinuz is a symlink to ../../../../boot/vmlinuz-linux-lts
However, the regular kernel in /usr/lib/modules/5.3.1-arch1-1-ARCH/ is not a symlink.

Is this expected? If so, why?

I would prefer that the LTS vmlinuz not be a symlink (in which case it serves as a backup in case there is ever a problem with my boot partition).

What configuration(s) should I look at to change my system behavior to what I desire?
