mount hugetlbfs got wrong mode

Hello,

I used

 mount -t hugetlbfs hugetlbfs /dev/hugepages -o mode=1770,gid=992

to mount hugetblfs.
But the mounted mode was not 1770 but 1352.

hugetlbfs on /hugepages type hugetlbfs (rw,relatime,gid=992,mode=1352,pagesize=2M)

Can anybody help me? thanks

Nope, that's not right.

Re: mount hugetlbfs got wrong mode

Same problem here.
trying to mount /dev/hugepages with mode set to 1770
Something seems to override it and turns it back to 1352 when mounted.

What is the solution for this?

Re: mount hugetlbfs got wrong mode

Yep, getting this too. At the moment I'm just setting the permissions on the /dev/hugepages directory manually as part of my qemu script as that's the only place I use it.

In lieu of hunting down the bug you could try something like this hack.
