Arriss SBG6700 wired & wirless only sporadically functional [Solved]

Hi all

Please stop me from drop kicking my modem out the front door.

I am running on kernel 5.0.9-arch1-1-ARCH and I have had little problems connecting to my old modem or other public access points thus far. All things changed when I moved and bought the SBG6700. My wife's home and work computers work fine with it. My arch laptop cannot connect via wireless or wired 95% of the time. Occassionally it will work for a session but stop again the next day. I cannot make rhyme or reason for what is going on so I am appealing to the gurus for help.

When I try to connect, it will establish a connection for a half second and then say activation failed. Wired does the same thing flicking back and forth between connected and unconnected. I feel this is a SW issue because other computers and phones do not have an issue working with the modem.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Now we got the symptom, please continue with some information about your hardware, how you set up net access in the first place and perhaps some config/log files.

I possess a device, in my pocket, that is capable of accessing the entirety of information known to man.
I use it to look at funny pictures of cats and to argue with strangers.

OK

sorry for the delay on the update.

I was able to work this out and wanted to share. I was able to solve my unstable connection by going into my network connection settings and switching the IPv6 mode from Automatic to Automatic,DHCP only. This resolved my problem.

I am not sure what the significance is at the moment and one day I will figure it out. For now I am going to browse ESPN.
