GTk- WARNING (problem)

(swiftfox-bin:2448): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
        Using the fallback 'C' locale.

This warning also appears when I start any GTK based app I think, including MPlayer, GIMP, VLC.

In VLC, I get an extra warning popup that says

Cannot set locale to ''.

This warning doesn't stop the application loading, but I'd rather it not occur..

Hi

You must set your Loacale (e.g en_US UTF-8 ) in

/etc/locale.gen

and then run

locale-gen

This create the Locale and the error is fixed.

Have you tried to turn it off and on again?
