I'm running an RX 5700XT gpu for which I needed to install special firmware from the AUR, specifically linux-firmware-agd5f-radeon-navi10. This worked fine until I recently ran an update that introduced a conflict with that package and the new version of mesa. I removed the package to install the new mesa and now when I try to run Xorg it freezes my computer. Below is the output of the most recent run.

Section "Device"
Identifier "AMD"

EndSectionAm I missing some configuration option to make this work? I'm not seeing any obvious error in the xorg log file. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What was the version of mesa the system was updated to?

I should have specified, my mistake. From 19.1.7-1 to 19.2.0-2

If you enable the testing repositories then update the system to 19.2.0-3 is the issue still present?
If so you can disable the testing repositories again and run
# pacman -SyyuuOffline
That actually did work! Should I just remain on testing until 19.2.0-3 makes it into stable and then disable testing once more?
Offline
That seems like the simplest approach to me. Can you please post in this bug report that the issue was fixed for you with mesa 19.2.0-3

Absolutely. Thanks you for your help!
