I got a *probably* working per-user configuration of mpd,i updated the database from ncmpcpp but the song does not appear.

There's apparently no mpd process listening on tcp (:6600 or elsewhere)?
ps aux | grep mpd
sudo netstat -tulpn | grep mpdand please post your mpd config
Edit: the file looks legit, so that's probably not the problem (the other way round would have been a strong indicator that the file is garbage)

There're now three mpd processes and (somehow…?) the first one also holds the default TCP port now (clerical error in the former post?)
There should be *one* mpd process, so I'd suggest to stop the service, clean up remaining mpd processes and restart the service. Then check netstat and the database behavior.

Not sure whether the mpc search command would relevantly catch that. But is the file properly tagged? Not on my mpd setup so I can't verify but I know quite a few programs that will have weird display issues when they assume tags to be present and you essentially only have the file name.

And to be sure: did you re-run "mpc update" after the cleanup?
Edit: i3tag, there is one, but:

id3lib provides id3info, id3 is actually an AUR package
And please paste the mpd log and ~/.config/mpd/database (shouldn't be too big for one file)

Nevermind,the song appeared after reboot
