Running pure arch.
Installed a package with
# pacman -U geary-git-r5090.30939534-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
Now trying to uninstall. All commands giving "target not found"
pakku -Rus geary
pacman -Rsn geary
any variation of above gives "target not found"
How to uninstall?
There may be something wrong with the install. At command-line i get:
$ geary

# pacman -U geary-git-r5090.30939534-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
Installs the package geary-git
pacman -Rsn geary
Removes recursively with backup file removal the package geary which may be provided by geary-git but is not the package geary-git.

Do not blank your posts: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Co … way_street

sorry 'bout that, but i couldn't see anything in the Code of conduct about blanking.
i didn't want to clutter the forum with a TGN. So my choice was:
- get reprimanded for a TGN or duplicating info that i put into another question
- or, get reprimanded for a blank post
What to do in this case?
thx
I restored the question. The solution offered above gives "target not found", as i explained in the OP.
thx

Try actually reading it:
Posting the equivalent of "Nevermind, I fixed it." in your thread or deleting your own posts for similar reasons is not only selfish and useless to the community, but a complete waste of resources and everyone's time.
