Proud e16 user I am looking to enhance my desktop experience with some form of a standalone desktop manager/solution that would avail me to have clickable, draggable, modifiable desktop icons on, well, my desktop. The file manager I use is the ROX Filer, a highly productive and manageable solution.
Any ideas?
Am I making myself clear?
Thanks in advance.

There is idesk, but I don't know if it works with enlightenment.
Otherwise you'll have to use the desktop icons support that is provided by enlightenment, possible relying on its own filemanager.

You use rox filer -- does rox desktop not work with e16?
http://rox.sourceforge.net/desktop/
Otherwise, I think you need to be a it more clear about your requirements, specifically what you have tried and why it doesn't work for you.
How to post. A sincere effort to use modest and proper language and grammar is a sign of respect toward the community.

I tried reaching out on the forum to see what's on offer.
I'll try something when I get a chance.
