[Resolved] Deauthenticating by local choice (Reason: 3=DEAUTH_LEAVING)

Hello everyone,

I am trying to get my Arch install to connect to Wi-Fi on my new Thinkpad. It will happily connect to the network when connecting from the live environment using the following procedure:

Create netctl config with wifi-menu
activate connection with

netctl start configname

which then causes iwlwifi to throw

BIOS contains WGDS but no WRDS

Pinging 8.8.8.8 then returns successful and my network connection is functional.

However, after installing Arch on my machine and attempting to use the same procedure, pinging 8.8.8.8 returns the message

Network is unreachable

Running dmesg returns the following few messages:

Looking online, the "deauthenticating by local choice" message inintially lead me to believe that the solution was to disable either the wpa_supplicant or NetworkManager services, but running systemctl list-unit-files --state=enabled showed the same list of four non-network related services that were present on the live environment. I have been bashing my head against the wall with this for a couple of days, and have not been able to come up with a solution. Do you all have any suggestions for what I can do to figure this out?

Thanks!

Update: It works now, turns out that I forgot to install dhcpcd as it's no longer included in base.

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
