Gnome 3.34 automatically logs me out

I upgraded to gnome 3.34 when it first came out but my user was getting logged out on its own after a while (sometimes immediately, and other times after a couple of minutes). Not knowing how to solve the problem and thinking that a future update would fix it, I just downgraded to before the update. Now its been almost one month, and I have tried updating again a couple of times, but still no change. Is anyone else facing the same problem, or is something broken on my install? Any help is greatly appreciated
