Hi. I've been having a lot of issues with getting Arch to work correctly. This is just one of them. I followed the installation guide (had a ton of problems with that for some reason) and followed the general recommendations up until the part to get the GUI working. I installed xorg group, my NVIDIA display drivers, the KDE Plasma group, and ssdm display manager. When I try to run "sddm", I get all of these errors and it doesn't boot up. Before I was able to boot it up but it just said "could not sync environment to dbus" and I had to reboot. No idea why it's not doing that now. So how do I fix this so I can get KDE Plasma running?

Why did you install the xorg group instead of only installing the correct driver Xorg#Driver_installation?
What GPU(s) does the system have?
$ lspci | grep -e VGA -e 3DWhich nvidia packages have you installed?
Why did you manually start sddm instead of following SDDM#Installation?

My bad. I actually installed the xorg-server package, not the xorg group. I was also under the impression I was supposed to install xorg-server and my driver, so I installed both.

I installed the proprietary "nvidia" driver package, because I have a GTX 1060 6GB.

I was attempting to test it.

To test I would suggest starting the service without enabling it.
# systemctl start sddm.serviceAs the service is not enabled it will not start on boot.
I asked for the lspci output to see if there was an integrated GPU apart from the nvidia GPU and if the nvidia model was a laptop one which would require a hybrid configuration.

Running that command started Plasma. Thank you!

If you enable the service it should then start on boot.
