Hello everyone.
I am trying to get my PS4 controller working. The wiki says it should work right out of the box with USB but it is not for me. The controller and the cable work under windows and I have tried with a different cable. I have also tried pressing the PS button after plugging it in.
The device does not show up in /dev/input/ and thus is not showing up in jstest.
Here is /dev/input/by-id
[john@JOHN-Arch ~]$ ls /dev/input/by-id/

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 2019-10-27 16:54 usb-SONiX_USB_Keyboard-event-kbd -> ../event18The Wiki says that usbhid and joydev kernel modules should be loaded. Both seem to be loaded according tot the follow commands.
[john@JOHN-Arch ~]$ lsmod | grep usbhid
usbhid 65536 0
hid 143360 3 usbhid,hid_sony,hid_generic[john@JOHN-Arch ~]$ lsmod | grep joydev
joydev 28672 0I have also tried disabling the joystick mouse control according to the instructions on the wiki but that didn't do anything.
I also see that the controller shows up as an audio device although I can't play sound through it.
Edit:
The controller shows up under lsusb
[john@JOHN-Arch ~]$ lsusb
