Hi!
After the latest wakeup from sleep yesterday evening, the mouse of the touchpad does not react any more -- the buttons work, just not the "finger sensitivity".
After giving up on this I tried to boot the current Ubuntu live-image: Nothing either.
Is there any way this is not a hardware thing?
Thanks a lot!

After completely powering off the laptop (disable internal battery & remove external) I removed the keyboard to see if there is anything related to the touchpad but there wasn't except that I wrongly attributed the mouse buttons to the touchpad in my post above but they are actually attached to the keyboard.
Now after booting back to Arch, the mouse works again. :S
I would rather attribute the power off to the re-functioning than me fumbling around with the hardware.
Any ideas how to make sense of it? I would like to know the cause of it.

Just happened again. >:( Completely powering off the laptop for a few seconds fixes it -- Reboot does not.
Can this be related to bbswitch?
The last entry of journalctl -x was:
Oct 31 19:54:19 hostname kernel: Freezing user space processes ... (elapsed 0.001 seconds) done.
Oct 31 14:49:33 hostname kernel: bbswitch: enabling discrete graphicsEdit: And again after sleep. This is a nightmare. The touchpad is actually a clickpad on the T480 and the click is working interestingly. But not the mouse movement.
