GRUB doesn't detect windows 10 even when I have os-prober and ntfs-3g

Hi, I am very new to arch linux and this is my first time installing the distro.

I was able to install the base system and configure some stuff from the https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Installation_guide.

I followed it step by step, the last problem that I'm facing is that I want to have a dual boot setup and after I installed GRUB, it couldn't detect windows 10.

I did the following

Option 1: I've read this https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GR … ng_systems, I have os-prober and ntfs-3g

note: I haven't set up my users yet so all these commands are executed as root
also, there's no encryption in my windows drive, I've disabled BitLocker

1. mount windows partition
   2. os-prober - this has an output, showing the windows boot manager ( esp/EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi )
   3. grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg - this doesn't show any output about windows

What am I missing with this method? If I missed something please, let me know.

Option 2: I've also tried the manual configuration of grub.cfg https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GR … I/GPT_mode

My problem here is that, when I execute the command to get hints_string, there an error

I've mounted esp,

grub-probe --target=hints_string esp/EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi

- grub-probe; warning: unknown device type

So I couldn't do this method, since I have a missing parameter that I couldn't get.

Both options don't seem to work for me. Please let me know what I've missed.

Thanks!
