Hi, forum.
I'm trying to install platformio-git (aur) and they say that marshmallow needs to be at least version 2.20.5 but I have
----------------------------
$ pip list | grep marshmallow
----------------------------
marshmallow 3.2.1Then under the installation of platformio-git, I get
----------------------------
$ sudo pikaur -S platformio-git
----------------------------
Reading repository package databases...
Reading local package database...
Resolving AUR dependencies...
:: error: Can't resolve dependencies for AUR package 'platformio-git':
Version mismatch:
platformio-git depends on: 'python-marshmallow>=2.20.5'
found in 'PackageSource.REPO': '{'python-marshmallow': '2.20.1-1'}'
done.Is the version numbering miss-matched or is it a problem with my setup?
Should I try to force the installation?

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/platformio-git/ specifies a dependency of python-marshmallow>=2.20.5 but the arch repository contains python-marshmallow 2.20.1 which does not meet the dependency.
pacman only uses package information from its databases. Are you install pip packages without using --user?
Edit:
I would suggest building a python-marshmallow 2.20.5 package locally.

I would leave it open to cover any issues you may have building python-marshmallow 2.20.5 but that is just what I would do.
If you are satisfied the issue is solved now then mark it as solved.
