I tried to mark the package "xorg-server-common" as a dependency with
sudo pacman -S --asdeps --needed xorg-server-common
It seems the only way to mark a installed pkg as dependency is to reinstall it with "--asdeps".
Is there an alternative way to achieve it without reinstalling a pkg?

Yes, check the -D/--database flag in 'man pacman'.
