[SOLVED] Xorg doesn't start with linux-hardened and NVIDIA driver.

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to get  a GUI in a desktop setup that has an NVIDIA 2070 GPU and a Ryzen 7 2700x.

This my /var/log/Xorg.0.log
And this is my .xinirtrc

I followed the instructions for NVIDIA from the Arch Wiki, one important thing to note here is that the Ryzen 7 2700x does not have integrated graphics.

What am I missing in to get Xorg to start?

Edit: After further investigation I realized the problem is only present when using the linux-hardened kernel, I have the nvidia-dkms driver installed winch works with linux and linux-zen without problems, I have the necessary headers for each of the 3 kernels and the NVIDIA DKMS module for all of the 3 kernels was installed correctly.

dmesg of the hardened boot is likely the more relevant log, also check "lsmod" on whether and which nvidia modules are loaded.
nvidia-smi probably won't work either?

Here's the dmesg.

Here's the lsmod, NVIDIA modules are loaded.

And nvidia-smi detects my GPU and driver.

Did you try disabling SME?

Failure is success in progress.

Re: [SOLVED] Xorg doesn't start with linux-hardened and NVIDIA driver.

Well, apparently SME was the problem.
I think we should not be required to disable SME in order to use the driver (nouveau) works with SME so the problems seems to be on NVIDIA's side and SME is a feature I was looking for (hence the decision to use the linux-hardened kernel).

I'll mark it as solved with hopes that the proprietary driver will work with SME in the near future.

Thanks for your help.
