[SOLVED] Minor issues after recent update

Hi all,

I have some small issues since I updated my system on 30.10, namely:
1. All terminal applications I have are launching slower than before. I have removed screenfetch to make them faster.
2. My NFS shares were not mounted automatically anymore (I use autofs). Somehow /etc/autofs/auto.master had the default values again, which I fixed it.
3. I use i3 with bumblebee-status bar and some icons are not rendered correctly.

Any ideas what caused these issues and how can I fix 1 and 3?

Re: [SOLVED] Minor issues after recent update

@Trilby: Thanks for the response!

I had already checked the logs but I didn't see anything weird, that's why I didn't post any logs. I forgot to mention, that booting with the LTS kernel didn't help. Since all issues appeared at once it didn't make sense to separate them. Apparently something went wrong during the update and I don't where else to look for hints. I was hoping that someone has encountered something similar and had some fix or an idea.

Re: [SOLVED] Minor issues after recent update

Lets try again:

Point 1. Chose clear informative subject lines for your thread.

Point 3. Provide information such as logs.  Ok, you looked at the logs and didn't see anything weird - we certainly will not see anything either if you don't show anything.  What was updated?  What applications are "slow"?  What icons are not rendered correctly?

Point 4. Chose one topic per thread.  What issue do you want to focus on in this thread?

If you want this to go in a productive direction, I'd suggest either A) pick one of the issues you want help with, change the title to actually indicate that issue, and provide some information about the issue, or B) use the report function to request a moderator/admin bin this thread so you can start from scratch and post properly.

Re: [SOLVED] Minor issues after recent update

I have replaced screenfetch with neofetch and now terminal loading seems faster. I've also changed the font in my i3 config and now some fonts are rendered correctly. I'm marking it as solved for now and I'm leaving some time.
