[Solved] MemTest86 not working in rEFInd

I have added a couple of tools to my rEFInd configuration and enabled them via showtools in refind.conf:

showtools shell, gdisk, memtest, mok_tool, apple_recovery, windows_recovery, about, hidden_tags, reboot, exit, firmware, fwupdate

The UEFI shell works with no problem but when I try to run MemTest86, after the initial boot sequence, I only get a blank screen and a cursor. I was able to trace the problem via the MemTest86.log to some GraphicsOutput problem. Here is part of the log:

and the last line loops indefinitely until I power off to exit. Is this a problem of screen resolution? My refind resolution is 1024x768 as stated but it seems MemTest's GUI's are not being rendered properly.
Anyway to debug or have I missed something? I followed the instruction from here. installed memtest86 from AUR and copied the bootx86.efi to my rEFInd partition and as I said, the other tool, the UEFI shell works without issue.
Any help please?

I found the solution. I lowered the screen resolution for rEFInd and MemTest86 starts working.
