[SOLVED]Logout after moving windows

Hello,

Laptop Star Labtop Mk-III
Fresh Arch installation(EFI)
GUI: Gnome gdm
mesa xorg-server xorg-apps xorg-init xorg-twm xorg-xclock xterm
linux-firmware
5.3.8-arch1-1

Issue: When i move the window of any program(terminal, file manager etc...) my session logs out. It happens with the touchpad or with a mouse. Maximizing or minimizing does not provoke this issue, It happens exclusively when i click on the top of the window and move it, in a matter of 1 second i get logged out. All my apps close when this happens and becomes impossible to work.

I've searched online but i didn't find anything about this problem. Maybe i'm missing something ?

Kind regards,

Re: [SOLVED]Logout after moving windows

You don't get "logged out", either the session or the display server crash.
Check coredumpctl and/or your journal.

Re: [SOLVED]Logout after moving windows

Hi Seth,

I was trying to post the logs i found but i was unable to preview or to submit them in here. I don't know why.
Anyway, i was able to find the solution:

In the journalctl i found something about wayland which apparently is another display server. I reboot the system and in the gdm interface i select " gnome on xorg " and voila, problem solved. I did not install wayland so apparently it comes with gnome by default.

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards,
