recently installed arch on my laptop and I decided I want to play minecraft but when It failed when i got to the java download:
Packages (4) java-runtime-common-3-1 jre-openjdk-headless-13.0.1.u9-1 libnet-1.1.6-3
jre-openjdk-13.0.1.u9-1
Total Installed Size: 172.44 MiB

error: failed to commit transaction (invalid or corrupted package)
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
So then i tried jre8-openjdk same error so then i tried installing "jre" from the pamac aur repository same error
> "invalid or corrupt signature"
I am able to install other applications that don't require java. I have also changed my mirror 5 times and tried Regen keys:
sudo rm -R /etc/pacman.d/gnupg
sudo pacman-key --init pacman-key
sudo pacman-key --populate archlinux
it seems to have something to do with the "java-runtime-common" package being corrupt I have not found how to fix it though.
please help I want to play minecraft ![]()
[SOLVED] thanks to @jasonwryan
