Is there a way to route audio from an external turntable connected via USB using VLC?
I can do it with Audacity, but VLC has me stumped.
For info, the turntable is a JAM turntable, and identifies as hw:4, but I can find no way to have it playing via VLC.
I know it defeats the object of vinyl, and the turntable is connected to wired speakers, but it would be nice to have the option.

Finally found the answer.
load-module module-loopback
in /etc/pulse/default.pa
Doesn't need vlc (or any other player) - it just plays.
EDIT: You need to configure the correct input in the Recording tab of pavucontrol, and the correct output in the Playback tab.
