Spectrwm conky config

Followed wiki guide on using conky under Spectrwm, only wiki config for conky is out of date... (easy fix) however I still cannot get it too run under Spectrwm. Does anyone know if conky does run under Spectrwm as a bar addition?

I can certainly get out from conky in a terminal... only changed .spectrwm.conf bar_action = conky
