Normally not, but if I zoom in one step (ctrl +) it happens for me as well.

I have to set medium font size <8 to have a normal result, but then I can't hardly read it.
So only reducing the zoom level to less than default the page renders correctly, but then I can't find an option to set the default zoom level so I have to do it everytime a restart

Re: archlinux.org && konqueror

dunno if that works, but u could try: start konqueror, edit all to ur lliking like fonts size and so on and then go to the "extra" menu entry and save ur current webbrowser profile.
well as said i dont know if such things also got saved in konqueror profiles, but worth a try roll

edit: u looked in control center (konqueror options) already?

cheers,
detto

my standard fonts are 12 or 14 (which is small enough at 1600x1200...)
you should be able to change a few settings in konqueror preferences or save a new profile, as detto suggests.

Re: archlinux.org && konqueror

zoom level does not get saved.
also I see no options to change defaults zoom level in the konqueror control center.
Besides that zooming out gives me rather small fonts for all other webpages, especially bbs.archlinux.org

edit: setting medium font to 11, archlinux.org displays correct at default zoom level. Also with font size 11 other webpages are more or less normal (though I would prefer medium font size 12  :shock:)

edit2: I guess I know again why I did not like kde roll

Then why u use it? You can use other WM/DE smile

/* OT-END */

You can change Konq to Opera, Firefox, Swiftfox or Epiphany (I know, using it with KDE will be stiupid, but it is possible).

Yeah good question big_smile, answer is digikam :oops:
Bad mistake, switched back to gnome already wink
Yeah I know, I can use digikam under gnome, but it just looks plain stupid on a gtk desktop.

Re: archlinux.org && konqueror

The problem seems to be more with the Archlinux front page than with Konqueror. At my font size it's okay by default in Konqueror, but both Konqueror and Firefox give the same problem if the font size is raised enough.

Have you tried F-Spot? I find it a better photo manager than Digikam. The only drawback in my opinion is it uses a flat db style storage system which can make it a pain to work with files outside of the app.

yes I tried f-spot (also cvs). things I don't like about it:
- it keeps putting my pics if I download them directly from camera in submaps (each date it's own map). So I have to download them manually, put them in maps, and then import them.
- the auto-correction tools in digikam are quite usefull. F-spot is lacking some of those features IMO.

So atm I do have gnome reinstalled, but have yet to deside on the photo manager. So please convince me .
