Icons are no longer displaying for certain apps

Currently running the following

Arch: 5.3.11-arch1-1

I am using lxappearance to change the icon theme and it works for some.

Re: Icons are no longer displaying for certain apps

I solved this by removing several 3rd party packages that somehow enabled icons to start re-appearing. Really confused by this. Slack is still not displaying its icon but I think that is an issue with the app.
