[SOLVED] polybar (drivers?) broken after today's update 11-24-2019

I don't know if I should post to the polybar git issues or what, but since today's update ("yay") I'm pretty sure is what broke my polybar, can anyone advise me?

Polybar halfway runs but it's broken.  Normally it runs on both monitors, now only on one.  Much worse though is that meta-keys don't work at all, making it pretty much unusable.

I've run "yay" pretty frequently for a long time without issues (and this arch system itself for a few years).  My hunch is that it involves nvidia drivers and/or the xorg stuff but I don't want to make it worse guessing/googling.

Thanks in advance.

Re: [SOLVED] polybar (drivers?) broken after today's update 11-24-2019

It turned out I had multiple problems.  One of the upgrades did something that confused the naming of my monitors.  I fixed this by changing the naming on the xrandr command in my .xprofile that specifies the order of the monitors.

What was tripping me up the most was actually something even stupider.  A button had been pressed that takes my HyperX keyboard into "gaming mode" (I'm no gamer) and that kills the Meta keys, which are the entire way you drive everything with i3 / polybar.

These combined effects plus seeing that X and nvidia stuff all got updated caused me to jump to conclusions slightly, although the xrandr does count as "X stuff" I suppose.

Hope nobody spent too much time looking at that pacman log.
