Brightness control doesn't work with Deepin DE

Hi, so... i just installed Deepin DE with :

sudo pacman -S deepin

and when i log in with Deepin DE, brightness control doesn't seem to work correctly.
When i decrease the brightness, instead of actually dimming the screen, it's just creating a black overlay. When the brightness level is minimum, the screen goes black but it's still has maximum brightness. This doesn't happen in GNOME, Budgie, or Cinnamon.

What should i do?

Yeah, controlling brightness with it does works, but is there any way for Deepin to control the actual brightness?

You may find useful ideas  here:

What about Deepin > settings > control center?

To work, Light now requires user to be part of 'video' group. Is that done?

It doesn't work, it created a black overlay instead of dimming the screen.

brightnessctl, which is now in the Community official repo,  is probably the softawre used by deepin. Download and install that package on its own and see if it helps.

https://www.archlinux.org/packages/comm … htnessctl/

FWIW

It's still doesn't work. Oh well, guess i'll keep using alternative way to change brightness for now.
I'm using Deepin keyboard shortcuts to replace the brightness function keys.

F2 (reduce brightness) :

light -U 5

F3 (increase brightness) :

light -A 5

the only issue i had is controlling the brightness from Deepin Control Center doesn't work
