Update your system, the package was adjusted for 5.4 kernel compatibility but your sync databases are not yet at that point. And you will also need to install and download nvidia-utils-340xx and likely lib32-nvidia-utils-340xx
You will also have to remember that you will need to rebuild this for every kernel update. If you don't want to remember this, opt for https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/nvidia-340xx-dkms instead.

Update your system,
when i install linux and linux-headers i get 5.3xx versions and it says i am up to date. how do I force to get 5.4?

I wish I knew how to choose dkms over the standard version, because I already git cloned from the link you gave in the first place. and i have folder named nvidia-340xx without dkms
and i ran the following with success
[hackins@archlinux ~]$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/nvidia-340xx-utils.git

If kernel and kernel-headers have mismatched version in the repository, something is wrong with the mirror you're using, switch to different one.
~ % pacman -Q linux linux-headers

If kernel and kernel-headers have mismatched version
i have identical versions
[hackins@archlinux ~]$ pacman -Q linux linux-headers
linux 5.3.13.1-1
linux-headers 5.3.13.1-1somehow I figured out that dkms version has another link for git cloning, so i typed -dkms in the end of the link https://aur.archlinux.org/nvidia-340xx.git and it looked like https://aur.archlinux.org/nvidia-340xx-dkms.git
and then i did following steps
[hackins@archlinux ~]$ cd nvidia-340xx-dkms
[hackins@archlinux nvidia-340xx-dkms]$ makepkg -si

Again, before trying any further with this, fix your mirrors, you should not get a 5.3 kernel when updating right now.

kudos to you guys, saved my day. i leaved only two russian and two american repositories in the mirrors list , then upgraded kernel and its headers 5.4.1, then xorg didnt boot properly after a reboot, i managed to login at tty2 in console and removed all nvidia packages then after restarting system and logging into desktop reinstalled nvidia340xx with all dependencies btw installation somehow chose dkms by itself. now i have smooth video in youtube and perfect scrolling. thank you kind people.
