Hey folks, sorry to beat this dead horse some more, but I have a dell computer with the above wifi adapter in it.. Running the regular arch 5.3.x and the LTS 4.19.x kernels, the adapter seems to work fine, but it tops out at 54Mbps. I do believe it should be able to do better..

Ive scowered DOZENS of posts about people having this problem, but Ive never found any solutions that work for me..
Does anyone have the magic incantation to make the card perform as it should?
*-network:0 UNCLAIMED <--- i have the module blacklisted for the moment..

if your adapter is not seeing 5ghz ac access points or limiting which bands you can use you can try the lar_disable module option. without this, my wireless-ac 9260 get crippled.
echo "options iwlwifi lar_disable=1" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.confreboot afterwards.
