Just spotted this elsewhere and it does work.
1. Go to http://www.lindows.com/.
2. Click on "buy" (Make sure you select the Developers Edition)
3. Click on Add Coupon
4. Type in imaNvuFan
5. Download Lindows (544 Mb)

Thanks for the link which worked for me.
I've been wanting to try Lindows out as I have never tried it before but didn't want to pay for it. Now I get to try it for free!

But OTOH it's so totally different compared to AL it can qualify as a totally different OS  .....

you know i wouldn't trust that version of lindows. blindly using a back door to a free version makes me think that the person who made it may have compromised the version available.

sarah, I am not sure I follow you. The free version that he and I are referring to comes directly from Lindows as a special promotion. You download the iso directly from their servers.

But why should we desire a copy of Lindows?
Its not like its for advanced users or something.

Have you ever used Lindows? I personally have not and before I pass judgements, I perfer to have first hand experience with it. There is nothing wrong with trying different distros and broading your linux experience. How else would I know that Arch is the best distro for me without having trying others?

I have tried many of the newbie-distros, including Lindows.
When I read that Arch was targeted at competent Linux-users, I was quite sure that those competent Linux-users would probably have gotten tired of such newbie-friendly distros as Lindows.
Anyways, the most newbie-friendly distro Ive tried must be Lycoris. You could even play Solitair (probably typed wrong ) while the packages was installed.

You mean Arch isn't a noob distro??? When did i pass over that line

lindows is, as the name said, for newbies to linux, who are not interested in learning the way linux works --- archlinux IS also for newbies, but you must start thinking and not just wanting something as clone to your windows --- you are willing to learn the linux-way, then, also when you are not so used to linux/UNIx, you are right here :-)
The impossible missions are the only ones which succeed.

A bit of a late reply...I know. But, I read somewhere that Lindows basically has you log in as root for everything. Is this a rumor or true- does anyone know? Not that I would dream of sullying my Linux experiences with such nooobbb-ware.
It's true. By default Lindows logs you on as root.

And some proof thereof :
