Hello arch users.
When my laptop (Dell Inspiron) is turning off this message is displayed:
/usr/lib/systemd/system-shutdown/fwupd.shutdown failed with exit status 2
It doesn't cause any real problem but it's still bothering me.
My system is up to date.

I'm not sure this is it, but according to 'man systemctl' exit status table: "program is dead and /var/lock lock file exists".

Ok, I've just uninstalled the fwupd package and the problem is solved (of course). My computer is still working correctly.
Thanks for the help xerxes_...

Just FYI this is absolutely harmless message (just a wrong exit code, nothing hangs) and is going to be fixed soon with some future update.

Thanks. I wondered already for some time about the awkward message
