sftp dolphin mpv and "#" character

I use ssh for accessing files on my local network and it shows as sftp in dolphin files manager.
but when I use mpv video player to open a file that has "#" character in its name it wont do anything.
this doesnt happen with other apps (like a text file with "#" in its name).
how can I fix this ,or should I report it to mpv developers?

this doesnt happen with files in local folder (not over ssh).

Maybe the issue is not in mpv, but in the dolphin files manager way to handle ssh.
Try mounting the remote system with sshfs, https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/SSHFS
