[SOLVED] Dell XPS13-7390: Flush Journal to Persistent Storage (hang)

Laptop: Dell XPS 137390
UEFI only (no legacy boot available)
USB-c only (no usb ports without usbc-dongle)
Tried Arch images: 2019.12.01 / 2019.10.01

Installed Archlinux on an USB-stick using:

dd if=archlinux-2019.10.01-x86_64.iso of=/dev/sdc bs=4M

Verified the stick boots ok in UEFI mode on another (older) Dell laptop(using a regular usb port).
When booting on this laptop(using an usbc dongle), Arch hangs during the boot sequence on the message:

[ OK ] Started Flush Journal to Persistent Storage.

EDIT: Just found out this is a known issue, that can be fixed by blacklisting the 'intel_lpss_pci' module.
