How AUR utils (https://github.com/AladW/aurutils) works? Why does it show that it updates whole system while I just requested one package to be synchronized (`aur sync`)? And what is the proper way to install a package from AUR using the utils without updating the system (`sudo pacman -Syu`) ? As I see it requires me to do this upgrade so that I can sync my custom package database (configured to AUR utils) with my local database and only then I can do `pacman -S <package I want>`? Please see an example log on installing just one package. I needed to do `pacman -Syu` after that to install.

That's the entire point of aurutils - it builds packages into a custom repo so that they can be accessed via pacman like any other repo.
If you want a different workflow then it will be easier to use a different AUR helper than to try and force aurutils to do what you want.

No, it doesn't update the whole system. You specified the -c flag, so it updates the container that you decided to build in.

Thanks for noting this. I see that it is not my system is updated but this container.
I'm learning this and hope I will find proper way to use it. Not all things clear now though.
So the usual workflow with aurutils would be. 1) Need some AUR package. 2) Build it using `aur sync -c <packagename>`. 3) `pacman -Syu` to update the database of aur utils and make my system update? 4) `pacman -S <packagename>`. Right? Or can someone point me what I miss?

Not quite. If you check the output you posted, the actual build process for the new package happens after the system update. No point in building a new package on an old system.

Nope, art was correct. The first update is for the chroot within which the package is built, the system update happens after this.
