sdram motherboard compatibility

I want to buy two PQI 256MB sdram cards for a machine, but I am concerned about compatibility problems. Do you think the ram will work with an Award motherboard produced in 1998, and a Pentium3 800mhz? anyone with a similar setup?

Re: sdram motherboard compatibility

I believe that you can purchase that sdram, try it in your computer, and return it to Fry's if it doesn't play...I have done that with Fry's twice! 8)

Re: sdram motherboard compatibility

I have a Soyo board with a PIII 866mhz and two sticks of SDRAM; runs without any problems.  Not sure if that helps at all.  wink
